Lasso Light Installation Guide
Welcome
Thank you for choosing the Tarnation Tattoo Lasso Light.
The Lasso Light is designed to fit a wide variety of tattoo machines. Because every machine and grip setup is different, installation may vary slightly from artist to artist. The goal is simply to achieve a snug, secure fit that’s comfortable for your workflow.

What’s Included
Lasso Light
Optional mounting adapter
Four adapter screws
Two rechargeable batteries
USB charging cable

Installation Option 1: Direct Fit (No Adapter Required)
Many tattoo machines do not require the included adapter.
1. Start by wrapping the grip of your machine with a small amount of barrier film and grip tape. Build up only enough thickness to help the Lasso Light fit snugly.
2. Test the fit as you go. Every machine is different, so you may need to add or remove a small amount of wrap until the fit feels secure.
3. Slide the Lasso Light onto your machine and position it centered over the grip.
4. Wrap the cable neatly around your machine so it stays secure and out of the way.
5. Apply your paper towel as you normally would. If needed, use the paper towel to help create a fuller, more comfortable grip.
6. Finish wrapping the entire setup with your preferred grip tape until everything feels secure and comfortable in your hand.
Barrier Protection
Before every procedure, cover the Lasso Light with a fresh disposable barrier.
We recommend using Tarnation Tattoo Lasso Light Shields, which are designed specifically for the Lasso Light. You may also use barrier film or plastic wrap if preferred.
Always remove and discard the barrier after each client.

Installation Option 2: Using the Included Adapter
If your machine requires the included adapter:
1. Remove the four existing screws from the Lasso Light.
2. Position the adapter around the grip of your machine.
3. Reinstall the four screws through the adapter and tighten them evenly until the adapter is secure.
4. Position the Lasso Light centered over the grip.
5. Wrap the cable neatly around your machine.
6. Apply your paper towel as you normally would.
7. Finish wrapping the setup with your preferred grip tape until it feels secure and comfortable.
Barrier Protection
Before every procedure, cover the Lasso Light with a fresh disposable barrier.
We recommend using Tarnation Tattoo Lasso Light Shields, though barrier film or plastic wrap may also be used.
Always discard the barrier after each procedure.

Fit Tips
Because tattoo machines vary in size and grip diameter, there is no single installation method that works for every setup.
Some artists prefer to build up the grip slightly with barrier film and grip tape before installing the Lasso Light. Others may add a little extra paper towel during the final wrap to fine-tune the fit. Small adjustments are completely normal and can help create the most secure and comfortable setup for your machine.
The goal is simply to achieve a snug fit that stays in place throughout your session.

Cleaning & Care
The Lasso Light is not autoclavable.
After each procedure:
1. Remove and discard the disposable one time use barrier.
2. Wipe the exterior of the Lasso Light with an approved equipment-safe disinfectant, such as MadaCide.
3. Do not immerse the Lasso Light in liquid or allow moisture to enter the battery compartment or charging port.
4. Allow the unit to dry completely before storing.

Free-Handers Setup Guide

Thank you for choosing Tarnation Tattoo Free-Handers.

Free-Handers are designed to give artists two ways to work. Use them as a traditional fine-tip stencil marker or attach them to your tattoo machine for a more familiar grip while drawing.

What’s Included

  • 20 Fine-Tip Stencil Markers
  • 10 Reusable Machine Adapters

Option 1: Use as a Standard Marker

Free-Handers can be used just like any other fine-tip stencil marker.

  1. Remove the cap.
  2. Draw directly onto stencil paper or skin as you normally would.
  3. Replace the cap after use to prevent the marker from drying out.

Option 2: Machine Setup

For artists who prefer drawing with the feel of a tattoo machine:

  1. Remove the marker cap.
  2. Insert the back of the marker into the black adapter until it fits snugly.
  3. Install the adapter into your tattoo machine the same way you would install a needle cartridge.
  4. Ensure the marker is secure before drawing.

The adapter is designed only to provide the feel and grip of a tattoo machine while drawing freehand.

Important

Do not turn your tattoo machine on while using the marker.

The marker is not intended for use with a running machine. The machine should remain powered off at all times while using Free-Handers.
